Hello all, i would love your opinions on the problem i have with my house, i have had the nhbc take bricks out of the side of the house to be able to ascertain what type of concrete floor i have.
when the bricks had been removed we find first of all the cavity's are blocked soild above the dpc.........pretty bad start, but it gets worse, i then see that the floor system type is suspended, the concrete is wrapped in dpm, but under the slab there is a layer of polystyrene insulation board 50mm, between the under building and the slab
so this means the whole house is sitting on a layer of insulation board 50mm thick.....the nhbc say they are not going to fix the cavities or the polystyrene board issue........ and i also have damage inside the house, crack , tape pulling, nail pops that keep coming back after filling.
