Swapping waste and siliconing bath same visit

I need to swap the waste on a bath and silicone the bath to the tiles. If I swap the waste first (I usually use silicone on the bath waste were the base of it touches the bath). Will it effect the waste seal if I then fill the bath with water before I silicone the bath to the tiles?

Use a polymer ( CT1 or similar) on waste not silicone.

Wedge wood under bath at back edge to secure coming off floor stuck to wall with CT1. If bath moves there is a problem. This filling bath with water is silly imo

If the bath is acrylic then you may need a little silicone to take up the imperfections under the waste, all depends on how well the bath waste has been been finished. Anything else stronger and it could be a nightmare to service/replace in the future, if that's every needed, IMO

Again if it's acrylic then there should be edge batons anywhere the bath touches the wall, it's just provides support for the sides. Then silicon is added onto the baton and the wall edge and the bath lifted onto the baton and against the wall, any silicone pushed out is smoothed down and then seal fully along the top edges.
Fill bath with water, as most acrylic baths will deflect when weight is applied and it can pull the edges inwards slightly, that can burst the silicone seal if it's not done when it's still wet, re-smooth the silicone along the edges. Allow to set for 24hrs. Then tile down to the bath and seal again.

I think the tiles might be existing, as the waste needs to be swapped? That’s just how I read it.
