swimming records

This is the farcical state we've got ourselves into as a society. Someone, born physically as a man (note I'm NOT referring to what's going on mentally) decides to change gender. They're a professional swimmer. So they're now allowed to participate in female swimming events. Ok, so as part of their transition they take meds etc to reduce their manliness, however are we seriously saying all their male attributes are gone, especially around physical capability?

Result? They start posting amazing times and many female competitors (who were born female) will never in a month of Sunday's be able to compete with them. Yes the very top tier might give them a run for their money, but many won't have a chance, no matter how hard they train etc. A bit like going up against someone who's using illegal substances.

What's even more farcical is, if you try to question this, you get labelled an 'ist' and are shut down by many quarters of society.

We're getting ourselves into a right tangle around all of this, trans women attacking from birth women in prison etc etc.

Why not create a trans level in athletics? Oh no, we can't do that, that's against their human rights. Solution? Let's shoe-horn them into from birth male and female events. Yeah, great solution ...
it all seems deeply unfair to me

and involve the courts ??

fruit cakes imo

Ok. You didn't need to divulge that you are a man married to another man but thanks for sharing.

When and where do I do that??? Direct me to it and post a line. However, there won't be one as I did not divulge as you wrongly claim.

You accused me of lying and I corrected you.

So go on post the link

Live and let live as long as its within the law.

However, re boxing and most other sports IMHO it would not be fair on the women IE those were born as females.

Why bother having any restrictions around gender, weight, height, skill etc? I mean surely it's all being 'ist' in one way or another, no? We're striving for vanilla are we not? Everyone able to do everything? Taking physical sports as an example, I think all categories should be banned to be fair to everyone. Let's have a free for all in everything, surely that's true equality, no? Maybe something like this ...

Russia's Epic Fighting Championship pit female strawweight against 530lbs giant in freak-show bout | Daily Mail Online

I'm going to rock up at my league football club tomorrow and say 'as of today I identify as a professional footballer, can I have a try out today please?'

Yes I'm being sarcastic, however the path we're going down in some areas isn't far off being this ridiculous.

In your post no. 6 on the The Police want you to grass others thread, you're bleating on about your husband.

Then, in your post no. 49 in this thread, you say that you're a man.

I don't see how any other conclusion can be drawn from those other than that you are a man married to another man!

Any form of extreme anything winds me up - why not live and let live as long as its within the law?
I'm all in favour of women being able to compete in women's sports, and win, rather than being outclassed by --someone who used to be-- a man.

Aren't you?

I've known people to 'come out', 'coming out and going back in again' is less usual.
