Is it possible to terminate SY cable (3 x 1.5mm) into a 16A Ceeform socket?
It will be glanded at the other end!

strip the braid long and twist it then earth sleeve it long enough to reach the earth pin, tape up or sleeve it also so no braid is exposed.

The only other way I have seen is a gland screwed into the socket with a banjo and earth wire, but that looks kack

Why should that look kack? Nobody minds when it's SWA.

Does noz mean a fixed socket, or a trailing one?

I presumed he means a female blue trailing plastic socket,I have seen the plastic bush removed and a gland screwed in with the banjo sticking out.
It is hard to describe sorry.

Sorry guys, I meant a trailing plug

It's for a morticing machine in a wood working shop.. they want to be able to move it around and plug into existing Ceeform sockets.

At the moment it's got a rubber cable with a metal flexible conduit 'like' outer sheath----into a standard plug top
