Hello, I'm currently trying to figure out how to connect a new smart thermostat, but after seeing the cables in the white box, I'm a little doubtful. So, I have a boiler system in the house, separate for hot water and central heating. I want to install a new thermostat. Could you give me some guidance on what and how to do it step by step so as not to burn down the house? I'll add a few photos of the connection and if I'm not mistaken, the white box is typical S plan wiring, right?

Yes S-plan but 2 wire thermostats, so you’d need to link these together, set to maximum or decommission in the wiring center.
Right so old programmer cable connection can stay like it is to new hive receiver ? And only what I need to do is in wiring center ? find that yellow red blue cable that what is saying in hive slt3 installation If there is an existing room thermostat, this mayneed to be bypassed or linked out. If you need tolink it out, this can either been done in the wiringcentre or at the thermostat, but best practicewould always be at the wiring centre. A directfeed from the central heating on terminal needsto communicate with the brown of the two-portvalve

Yes. Looks like it’s the yellow going to the brown.
yes there is yellow going to the brown and other cable is dark brown going with the black together
