We are buying our first home and want to replace the current system boiler with a combi. The boiler will be staying in the same place, although the current boiler is floor standing and I would like a wall mounted if possible. We have a 2 bed house with 2 reception rooms and 1 bathroom.

I would like some idea of cost, the tanks will already be removed so it is just a straight swap. We unfortunately are on a tight budget and can't afford top of the range so would be looking at something like an ideal.

An idea of labour cost would be most helpful :)

Thank you in advance

Many would do what you need for about £2.0k to £2.2k using a better boiler than an Ideal!

If you must have an ideal then the price could be as low as £1.3k or less.

At it again Tony!

Are you sure its a straight swap? Your old boiler wont have a hot and cold supply to it and probably not a big enough gas pipe!
Your question is like asking how long is a piece of string, (dont be clever anyone and say twice as long as half its length) get three quotes and take it from there!

Yes, Tony 's clairvoyance and ability to see these installations and price accordingly is legendary.

Floor standing system boiler? Not many of those ;)
