Taking a radiator off to decorate.

As the header says, I'm decorating and rather than piddle about trying to get the paper down the back of the radiator, if I shut down the TRV so that I can remove it, should it hold tight or should I expect some water to pass. I don't want rusty water dribbling over my carpet.

if you do get a cap end to go on the rad outlet of your TRV just to make sure

your local plumbers merchant should have one

but in this hot weather is unlikely to open (unless its knackered o course ;) )

You should expect some water to pass !!

Play it safe and blank of both rad valves ;)
