taking spur outside

parent want a new socket on other side of bay window,concrete floors,not long redecorated so up and down walls is a no no,is there any problem taking cable through back of existing ring socket to outside,running swa cable clipped to wall and then back in to new socket.
or anyone got any other ideas?

Could use conduit instead of swa, would save having to use adaptable boxes and glands.

nothing exactly wrong with it but it will be a pain to seal particuarlly if you want to hide the join between box and SWA and if not done well represents a potential entry point for damp into your house.

something like HI-TUFF would probablly be a better choice, it avoids the glands issue, provides decent resistance to the effects of UV etc and there is no need for armour since the cable isn't burried in any way.
