Does anyone know if it's possible to get a loo in the uk that flushes from mains water rather than having a cistern? It's to replace an existing toilet in a small space. Thank you
Not a fan of them then JP? Must admit I've had a 100% failure rate on the one I've fitted! The Sanicompact doesnt have a cistern but I wouldnt install one for all the tea in China
Nice idea but over complicated with PCB, pressure switch and solonoid valve all in a small box under the pan so whole thing has to be removed and flipped upside down to get to the boxNot a fan of them then JP? Must admit I've had a 100% failure rate on the one I've fitted!

All macertors join a soil pipe somewhere mark.Thank you, I'm keen to use existing soil pipe and don't need macerator though.
Think you mean like you see in USA public and company toilets?Does anyone know if it's possible to get a loo in the uk that flushes from mains water rather than having a cistern? It's to replace an existing toilet in a small space. Thank you
They are common in the USA but for some reason not used in the UK? Maybe our stupid OTT water regs again, or because historically UK households were all expected to use a loft tank and gravity-fed system where the pressure and flow are too low for a direct flush.
How about an old fashioned high level cistern? Would that help?
If the wall is 30cm thick could you not remove part of it, put in a small lintel and fit a slimline cistern literally in the wall?
