Tap connector through stud wall?

No special rules apply to pipework through studwalls (unless there's insulation within in which case the pipes need to be wrapped in plastic to protect it). If you don't want them flapping around, use pipeclips at the earliest practicable opportunity.

Please forgive the thread hijack - why must the pipes be wrapped when there's insulation?

Also when pipes are buried in plaster as for a heated towel rail, what needs to be done to protect the pipes?

Thanks!

Think it's to to with ant possible reaction between the pipes and the insulation. Pretty unlikely, but that's the recommendation. Similar for when burying pipes in plaster.
