Help!!
Please can anyone help.
The tap under the sink which allows you to fit washing machine & dishwasher pipes to it has suddenly started to leak. It didn't leak before but we have just added the pipes for a dishwasher and now it does.
Any advise on how to stop the leak please

You haven't fitted one of these, have you?

We have a claim in for £15,000 worth of damage because one failed in a first floor flat.

Yes we have fitted one of those. Do I take it this could be the problem.

Who did the fitting? Maybe call them back?

If its the valve shaft they often leak after they have been touched. Sometimes they stop after a couple of days. Sometimes they have to be replaced.

Does Charnwood mean one of those they supplied split and the suppliers/makers ( in China ) are being claimed against?

Charnwood means that we have a claim in for damage because there was a problem with the male threads being slightly undersized and the swivel nuts on the hose popped off.

We tried a few from the same batch and - hand tightening the nut - it would jump back a couple of threads if you gave it some welly.
Even when we thought it was tightened OK we could pull the hose away from the Y piece.

We've now sourced a brass one.
