Tax dodgers snagged

OK, you don't want to say.
I don't know, you will have to wait until I see him again, unless you want his phone number and you can ask him yourself.
Why so many questions.
He has long term good tenants, he charges under market rate. He increases the rent in line with market but doesn't want to fall too far behind because he is worried about rent controls that may limit the % he can increase and will prevent him catching up with and staying the same below market rate amount.
So every little bit of extra £ burden gets passed straight onto the tenants. As will the new registration fee.

Also very soon the government will be throwing his tenants out onto the street.

A friend of ours owns two flats that she rents out. She’s had them for at least 20 years. She rents them out for less than she could get for them because she’s happy enough with what she’s getting, they are long term, property respecting, paying on time tenants.

Johnd seems to not like the idea. He seems to have a real problem with the concept.

That’s the champagne socialist in him coming out. Profit. As much as you can get while still calling for others that make a profit and are richer than him to be taxed more heavily.
