OK, I'll play.
I've got into a habit of jumping on a bus and having a rather good carvery and a pint for my Monday lunch. Unsure of buses and whether the pub might be crowded, as it was a bank holiday, I stayed home and cooked - I had pulled pork in BBQ sauce, a left over from Saturday, chips and sweetcorn a left over from yesterday, when I cooked a chicken. I might be going for my carvery instead tomorrow.

With a bit of effort, I used to be able to get the end of my thumb, to touch my wrist - on the same arm.

Was in the dentist chair and he had pulled out an abyss tooth he pinched my nose and ask me to try and blow through my nose and you could hear a small amount of air coming out the socket
Abyss had eaten through the bit that separates some thing or other ?

I could blow bubbles from my ear in the bath... Maybe a perforated ear I think
Yep, perforated ear drum. There is an air passage from your nose, to the back of your ear drum, which allows you to equalise the pressure on both sides of the drum. Most people have to yawn to allow that passage to open, to equalise the pressure.
