Terminological inexactitude

Oh dear... Let us hope that the idiot who wrote the press release has nothing to do with the technical side of the stunt!
 
As I understand it he's in a faraday cage of some description. Not really a stunt, just physics.
 
OK, perhaps stunt was a poor choice of word, good thing I don't write press releases!
Although one could argue that a great many so called stunts or tricks simply rely on exploiting a principle of physics that the majority of the audience doesn't understand and therefore considers to be magic...

Indeed, along with a couple of friends, I actually built a small (about 3 foot high) Tesla coil at college - we all survived!
 
Yes, we built a Jacobs ladder too. Both were somewhat unpopular as they caused interference with almost everything in the building!

Oh, and a few other lethal "toys" besides, not all of them electrical. :twisted:

Not that I'd really call a Faraday cage advanced technology, but I suppose 90% of his audience wouldn't know what one is.
 
I noticed this comment in a newspaper article (on-line, wouldn't waste money buying one).
Whether it was he or the reporter, I know not.
