hi Guys,

I need to run a waste pipe from a macerator (no option and tried to talk them out of it!) from understairs and run along the joists in the ceiling and also run a shower waste from the upstairs bathroom along the same route.

My problem is i cant fit the shower tray and toilet etc due to various reasons at this stage.

The waste pipes need to be put in so that the plasterer can get on with the ceiling and walls in that part of the house.

Any advice on testing these as dont fancy any kind of a leak after the ceilings are done!

I have a RP30 and was thinking of trying to rig something up with that but cant work out if its possible and what fittings might be needed.

Any advice appreciated!

use a drain test machine, usually set up for 4 or 6" but quite easy to adapt down to 38mm, or just glue them well and they will be fine!!!!

if you use the drain tester you need to just look at the catalogues and pick fittings to adapt from the 38mm pipe onto the machine connection

Even get some solvent cleaner and use that first  Way back it used to be recommended - then no one bothered , and the manufacturers dropped the advice
