Hi,

I am experiencing a problem with my alarm which I've had for 2 years (Texecom Premier elite 48 - Ricochet).

If i fully arm the alarm, i get the sound indicating that it is waiting for me to exit the building (and the panel displays this as well). I then open and close the Door and the alarm gets set. I get the message on the panel 'Area FULL ARM ... A'.
This text is shown for about 30 seconds and then disappears.

I can then walk around around the house freely and none of the PIRS or door contacts will trigger the alarm and sound the internal alarm!!!

Looking at the Logs, i can see that SOME of the PIRS or door contacts get logged as an alarm, however, i still do not get any sound from the internal bell and the panel does not give any notices that the alarm has been triggered. (see attached images)

When i go to the panel and enter my code to disarm the alarm, instead of getting the message asking if I want to disarm, I just get the flashing message saying "'Area FULL ARM ... A'". I then have to enter the code again to be able to disarm, at which point i get shown all the system alerts.

This was all working well before I had some problems with the electricity in the building a few weeks ago and since then i had not used the alarm.

The weird thing is that if I set the alarm as PART-ARM, then i can get the alarm to trigger from the door contacts but not from the PIRS

I am really stuck on this. could anyone shed any light on why this is happening and how can i resolve it?

I've uploaded 3 images of the logs, the global settings and the area options

First things first.

The power cuts should not have done anything at all.

However if you have had no power to the unit at all, ie backup failure, you would need to replace the backup battery.

Also I would advise you put the system into walk test and test that all the detctors respond back properly, the retest by setting the alarm waiting 5 minutes. If the detectors dont walk test, then check the batteries in the devices as 2/3 years is the battery life for wireless.

Looked and I can see you have no areas assigned to the 09 Bell & Strobe output, so the external bell wouldnt go off.

Secondly your pirs when you set the system will be asleep, if you walked in front of them after 5 minutes it would go off into alarm.

let us know how you get on.
