I have a newly (self installed) Texecom Premier Elite 24 alarm. I accidentally set the alarm this morning, put the password in to deactivate and the bell box continued to go off for an additional 30 seconds before going off and displayed Tamper Fault. Any ideas?

Did you adjust the tamper switch on the bell box when you installed bell box on wall ?
Is the bell box cover correctly fitted and secure ensuring the micro switch is closed ?

Check the event log and report back on the events recorded for this tamper.
My concern is your sequence of events.

then displayed tamper.
In the event log it should clarify whats happened as far as the panel is concerned.
