Hi, I'm new to the forum, though I've read many of the posts over a few months. I have a problem with my system and would be very grateful if anyone can find a solution.
I'm a DIY'er and have just completed installing a new excel system in my home comprising of 3 kpds, 3 door contacts, 4 pir's, 1 DT 'pir', internal & external sounders plus speech dialler. This is my second install having done a Veritas at my parents house a few years back.
The problem I have is that when the system is armed and tripped none of the detectors go into alarm condition. It is as if I've put all zones into omit or soak test.
On this occasion I've opted for double EOL wiring, but to simplify the install I used kit with built in resistors (4k7 alarm, 2k2 tamper).
Everything is powered ok, bell works on test, programming went ok.
However, the walk test didn't trip any sensor. Also the door chimes though set via program and user selection give no sound.
As a last resort I've returned to factory settings and re-programmed but got the same result when armed....silence!
I've concluded that the PCB must be faulty, but I'm sure that is very unlikely, so I am hoping that someone can point out the obvious to me.
Thank you in advance.
