Hi Guys,

I've had a read through the forum and come up a little short and wondered if anyone could point me to a few things quickly.

1, noticed when armed, I can't use wintex to remote in, and can't find the option to change to allow this, anyone know where to find this??!

2, In any armed mode, ie Full or Part/Night mode. There's no internal sounds, from keypad or speakers - so I am assuming again there's a tick option I've missed and wondered if anyone can point me to this.

3, Fault issue. I've noticed for some reason lately I've had a false alarm from one zone. I've checked, and rechecked this, changed the sensor (PIR), ect ect. It's setup using EOL, and in testing I can see 2.19K normal, 6.85k when triggered. Wired using 2.2K & 4.7K. I can not see why I've had false alarms!! And like anything like this, it's driving me mad!! If anyone has some advice or ideas (beyond omitting the zone!) then I'd very much appreciate it.

I was wondering if it's just worth dropping the resistance down a little to give it a little more wriggle room, but I'm not sure on the advice on this.

Anyway - I'll thank you all now, and appreciate any feedback. Cheers Badger

That is the last thing you should do, if at all. That is what the panel is looking for.

Where in the room is the detector fitted, what model is the detector, have you removed any factory fitted masking screen (cardboard if I remember correctly)?

Did you install it ? Have you been playing with the options ? As default it lets you in , even if set ! It's in the UDL options ...

Hi Euro, Sparky.

Thanks for the prompt replies.

Euro, now you say that I see the point! It's a Texecom Premier 360DT . Fitted dead center away from any other devices, lights, cables ect. TRied using the built in and bypassed to use external resistors.

Sparky, I did install yes. LOL! Of course, typical DIY'er idiot! It's half the fun to play and learn as long as you do learn and not damage anything.... But I am assuming I've changed it! Thanks for the heads up!

Have another look at the MWD.

If you can stand at the farthest point in the room from the detector and wave your arms about and it alarms it will need adjusting.

You should be able to walk a couple of paces before the alarm activates, anything quicker and you WILL have false activations.

When the room is empty with no movement the MWD becomes more sensitive

Hi Euro, Thanks for this I'll be sure to check over the weekend.

It's odd as this sensor is in a space with no windows ect. And has been fine for 18months - since it was first installed! But it's good to recheck and test so I'm there'll be 5 when everyones out and I can "play".

Still cant login when armed nor fixed the bell issue! but thats minor for now!

cheers, badger
