Hi Guys,

Currently got a Premier 24 system installed and wondering about the fire detectors that I have read about on the internet. Are these plug and play with regards to fire detection ?

They seem to get mentioned in the manual, but can't find all that much else about them, had a look at the texecom exodus stuff. Has anyone installed this stuff ? Any good ?

Currently trying to move away from the kiddie battery alarms that we currently have, as soon as we try to cook in the kitchen they set off, because I'm only in a 2 bed flat.

Advise / suggestions appreciated, I have the engineers code for the alarm and I can still call the old company back ,we are on good terms, just wanted to get some advise before I went ahead with it !!

Cheers

If you set your kidde ones off, you will be setting the ones on your intruder alarm off too - and that can be more annoying than the battery ones.

I would recommend the Exodus detectors, and have installed them in my own house. As long as you choose the right detector type for each location then you will be fine. The rate of rise heat detectors are the ones to go for to avoid false alarms from cooking :)

Purchased a Rate of Rise one for the Kitchen and opticals for the rest of the house, awesome little units, couldn't be happier with the result !
