Texecom Premier 48 No Heartbeat LED

Hi I inherited a Texecom Premier 48 on powering up it has No Heartbeat LED and on the rkp it shows ID 1 and Lid Shut.
If you press any keys it says what key you have pressed and thats it.
Any ideas should I update the firmware as the sticker on it says 6.1

Did you load the factory default settings when you powered it up?

If running on battery only did you press the battery kick start button?

6.1 firmware is out of date but I would get it working with the existing firmware before attempting to upgrade it. It may have already been updated. If you get it working you will be able to read the version info from the keypad.

Tried loading defaults and kickstarting seems to have no effect.

Try removing all power (mains & battery) and then reapplying power again.

Are you running on battery only, mains only or both?

Are the network LED's in the panel working?

Have you got a meter to test voltages?

has it got the nvm chips fitted ? middle of pcb (removeable)
