I have a Texecom Premier Elite panel that was at software version 2.x. I decided I wanted to be able to use the new Texecom Connect app and so decided to do 3 things:
1. I bought the cable and flasher interface to enable me to use my laptop to upgrade software to firmware 6.2. According to the keypad (Menu 4) this was successful. I did (as recommended) a Load Defaults afterwards.
2. I removed the Com WiFi unit (which wasn't working well on my Deco Mesh network) and installed a Smartcom instead.
3. I changed out the 32XP for the later version.
I thought I'd be able to connect Wintex through Smartcom and then reload all my data and then just relearn each PIR, alarm box etc.
It hasn't worked out that way
. Going through the set up process to tell the system that I have a Smartcom fitted when I get to the generate code it starts the process and the I get the message 'Ack Failed........ / Call Terminated' I will speak to Texecom on Monday but just wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
Also as the system is in a default mode I managed to 'Confirm Devices' - i.e. the expander and keypad but system will not learn any devices either.
Is there anyway I can use the laptop through the flasher interface to load my previous data from Wintex?
Thanks, Nigel
