Texecom Veritas alarm

Hi
I've ran a temp cable from bell box to control box and fault still there.
I think I've reached that point I need to call someone in.
I did try the link in the bell box, as that's what I had before.

U didnt mention a tamper fault when you posted originally did you change something?

Start again.
Link out all zones and tamper circuit on control panel.
If no faults present then control panel OK.
Now connect bell, if fault present then fault on bell box.
If no faults,then add devices one by one.
If you have problem once the above has been completed, then you need to get other advise.
This is the simplest way to prove the equipment.

Which is the best texecom bell box to match my veritas alarm?
It obviously that my pyronix bell box , although works with my old system, as I patched it up with my old alarm last night, and works fine, but doesn't with the texecom alarm

I have used the Texecon Odyssey range of Sounders, very simple to connect to Veritas panels.

A on Panel to A on Sounder
B on Panel to B on Sounder ….etc

its ABCDS panel to bell, all the Texecom sounders will work except wireless

B = Back light
E = Economy (1 piezo)
X = Odyssey X, only three fixing points
W = Wireless.

The covers are 1 or 3 which indicates shape of the cover.

Odyssey 1,2,3,4,5 have multiple fixing points and available in E versions but not B versions.

Hi thanks for all your assistance.

Just fitted a texecom odessey range E bell box.
Just one query ,
The strobe seems to be on permanently, which seems strange to me, expected two flashing less to indicate "live" system.

The comfort leds flash side by side under normal operation.

The strobe flash is something else, fast on first alarm and then slows down after 15 minutes I think it is and remains in that state until the panel is reset.

picture of the bell or short video would be useful.

The bell box status is indicated by what the comfort LED's are actually doing.

Slow flashing LEDs Normal operation
Left LED flashing only Hold-Off active, tamper circuit open
Right LED flashing only Hold-Off active, tamper circuit closed
Fast flashing Right LED Hold-Off active, remote power removed
Fast flashing LEDs Hold-Off active but will cancel within 2 minutes

These have no bearing on the strobe.
