My texecom veritas excel alarm has a solid red tamper light on.
when I do a walk test it shows the letter T with nine beep sounds.

    what does this mean?

The alarm has previously not worked and I have solved other various wiring issues and tamper problems but this last one I dont know where it is.

    Thank you
    Joe

Look in the engineers manual, you can use the event log or walk test and then look into it in more detail.

once you know roughly where its coming from, you can then look in the right areas

Checked and if you press OMIT with T displayed it will indicate where the tamper is from

thats the answer. thank you. when i press omit the panel shows it is the bell in tamper.

also the strobe and external bell are not working so ill probably need to run a new wire to it.

    thank you again
    Joe
