"THANKS' Button

I have noticed recently that when I leave 'thanks' for somebody, or they do the same for me, that the 'Thanked' total does not change.

Has anybody else experienced this?

As joe says. The thanks button was changed to reflect helpful advice given on the main boards and not for a bit of mutual backslapping "up top"

That is a shame because I find a lot of good advice is given on the general forum, and I like to recognise that. A 'dislike' button may also be a good additional feature!

It wont add in any forum, I have made good suggestions in other areas, have been thanked, but my score did not increase.

I thought I had noticed that.

It makes the 'thank' button pointless. Admins views would have been appreciated.

I think on GD more a thumbs up/thumbs down icon would be best.....due to the nature of the comments it is often more an agree/disagree thing than an actual thanks, although of course there are times when that is appropriate too.

That is a very fair point, although the same can be said on other forums where the usual 'banter' still exists

They should have an ungrateful button for the people who post a question to which people answer but the original poster does not ever come back to say thanks or simply never posts again.

Anyway...they should allow it for the superb performance that we put on in the word games...not one word of thanks to Space Cat and I and all the other contributors for that supreme effort that we made in Never Ending Story. No wonder Space Cat has disappeared he is probably absolutely gutted and sulking somewhere

I did exactly the same, with identical result, why have this facility if it's not automatic?
