The Bell hotel. Looks like it’s set a precedent.

lol, how DARE you poke fun at this amazing, robust scheme that will not deliver.

Labour fixed nothing. The Blair government were the ones who opened the floodgates. Tories carried on the same policy, all the time promising remedies and controls but the only effect was ever greater numbers.
Confused thinking

Blair period was EU freedom of movement, ie legal migration

Tories continued that because there was no choice, it’s part of the Single Market

I guess you mean the increases post 2019 which were a result of Johnson’s student visa policy.

asylum seekers are a different issue

How did the Conservatives do…..

Oh they had the Rwanda scheme:

Cost = £800 million
Number of people sent to Rwanda = 0

It is the first ever deal agreed with France.

It has the potential to act as a deterrent…..because a person who paid a lot of money to a people smuggler arrives in U.K. and gets detained then returned to France.

The asylum seekers that France will swap will be ones chosen on the basis of having a valid reason: for example Afghanis who worked with British military.

Motorbiking does not seem to understand the ones returned to France are not of the same group as the ones chosen for the swap.

I guess the detail is a bit much for Reform party supporters

France has not agreed to prevent those returning from illegally crossing again.

So last week we had some 2,000+ coming here illegally. Under the returns deal up to 50 could be sent back, in exchange another fresh 50, would be sent, while the original 50 sent back are free to try their luck again.

It's not me who doesn't understand it.

it would be a deterrent if France wasn't such a bad place to be sent to and you weren't free to try your luck again.

Reform party have no solutions

“Tow boats back to France” they say -that won’t work
“Leave ECHR” they say -that wont work
“Pushbacks” they say - not legal, not a solution
“Deport all illegals” - but Reform don’t explain how they would do that given it needs agreement.

Conservatives had no solutions

Labour are getting on with the job

Big Brit ships mid channel to stop them entering, phone up frog lifeboats to come and get them. They're in frog waters.
