The bit between worktop and wall - in a kitchen

Going slower with a jiggy reduces wandering. The problem is that with better and more powerful tools, it actually encourages you to go faster! Yes, always turn off pendulum if you want accuracy.

10mm is such a small amount infill off any amount will still need sealing so perhaps a 11.5mm bit off ply[called 1/2 inch] 3mm below surface and a bead off silicon to fill in will be less obvious
then if that fails another option can be looked at with minimum effort

in this instance affixed to the worktop back edge for security

what colour is the worktop the tiles and the grout ??

"simplesteve" already seems to have covered this ;)

The worktop will be either wood effect laminate or light grey speckled laminate. But the kitchen is full of mis-matching stuff and clutter. More of of a nightmare kitchen than a dream kitchen. My wife and I are of the opinion that it is a workroom not a fashion statement.
