The EU going........ going.....

If we were still in the EU now, we would be on the hook for over eu80bn as our contribution to the EU-wide CV19 whip-round - so that is one bullet we dodged.
Little Ireland (pop. 5.5m) has to stump up eu15bn.

What benefits are those? You mean the large trade deficit we run with them? For which we pay handsomely each month?
You do know a lot of our trade with the EU is in services, which is going to be harder to sell to them once we've left the EU. Financial services being the biggest but far from the only one.

I wouldn't be surprised if our trade balance got worse initially, I'd be pleasantly surprised if we broke even for the next five years (e.g. our deficit doesn't get worse).

There's no point looking at any predictions though, since we still don't have a clue what our trading position will be anything we estimate now is just another guess.

Let's face it the Germans having been getting military security on the cheap. ;)

Which has allowed em to build up there standard of living

When did the Germans send any of there military Into a hot spot since WW2

They do. Nowt other than flog dodgy emission cars around the world or hog deck chairs at some holiday resort

Jeez us how can u trust people wandering around in leider hosen organising belching contests

Afghanistan, Kosovo, Syria and Somalia.

But you're right, aggressive German military action outside their borders has a long and noble history. Roll on the breakup of the EU.

Many EU companies depend on London for raising capital; if the EU plays hardball over financial regulation, EU companies would suffer and Barnier knows that, but he is not beyond cutting the EU's nose off.
Think back to 2016, when we were told that Paris, Frankfurt and Dublin were going to take the place of London. This never happened - neither Frankfurt nor Paris can even begin to rival London, which is one of the top three finiancial centres of the world.
Several EU insurance companies have been setting up in London because they can see which side their bread is buttered on.

Speaking of lederhosen when I was about 10 years old on. Holiday in Austria

My grandmother and mother marched me down to the local dept store. To get fitted out with lederhosen

I. Remember kicking off over the affair and getting a clip around the ear and threats of further violence unless I complied

Apart from. Looking a complete dck in said hosen I have been traumatised ever since

And we're back to nosealls point, since we haven't left the EU in any meaningful way we haven't begun the slow erosion of services yet.

And again, financial services are only part of it. When our regulations start to diverge from the EUs, for example on future updates of GDPR it's going to be extra work for any UK org to win work for EU clients. Additional paperwork will make us less competitive in the EU market.

They did nowt out there it was symbolic
All. Military were kept out of any harms way
Or Con fined to the base which was well. Away from any hot spots

No doubt the Germans flogged plenty of weapons to other EU members like the Greeks
Population what 12 million and at one time they were one of the world's biggest importers of arms most came from Germany
Tanks
Subs

No wonder there economy collapsed that and tax fiddeling
