Their policies are all for our own good apparently.

Some highlights for you ...

55mph limit on motorways.
20mph in all built up areas.
Driving test for all every 5 years.
Road tax incremental increases.
Reduce the quantity of car parking spaces.
Parking charges for parking outside your house.

Good grief!
I have to pay to park on my drive. Must be April 1st.
8 million driving tests a year for existing drivers plus new drivers. Yeah right.
They have already reduced parking with residential zones. High prices to park and time limit before you have to move.
20mph zones im not against but some are just stupid and not needed.
55mph on motorway at certain times would be ok but not all the time. I guess they are thinking about fuel more than safety.

When I next have to vote I might close my eye and mark a random box. Cream rises but not in politics ATM
History repeating though say the historians.

'nuff said.

Jokers. Thankfully they'll never get into power
Don't bank on it; the present Labour government got into power on the vote from muslims and dole-drawers - people who should not have the vote. That bloc is now moving over to the Greens.

But whereas you couldn't always tell one Labour voter from the other, differences between traditional and entryist Greens are so blatant even John D would find it difficult fabricating a story about them.

Hannah Spencer and David Paulsden held an anti-hate, degenerate pro-drugs Gay and Lesbian event in London last week and it was a mini-Glastonbury, all public sector workers and trust-fund kids. Not an Ali Akbar in sight.

That's a good policy, get dangerous drivers off the roads, force people to pay attention to the current highway code. Every 5 years might be too frequent though.
Yeah, it's a great fecking policy. Folk already waiting 20 billion years for a test/re-test, so let's have every single driver taking a retest every 5 years.

I must have missed where they said they'd freeze assessor numbers and take no basic steps to bring this about in any way.

Having regular training is a good idea, but testing every 5 years to drive at a max speed of 20/56mph will be disastrous for the economy. Fortunately the only good thing the greens will do is split the labour vote.
Magistrates will be clogged up with speeding offences.

The policy is gated/members only, but there are ways around that:

TR113 The Green Party would introduce a 20m.p.h. limit throughout built up areas, including villages. This overall approach would reduce the need for specific traffic calming measures everywhere, but it is recognised that there would still be a need for these in many locations, especially the entrances to these areas.

TR114 In rural areas, apart from trunk roads, the maximum speed limit would be 40m.p.h. Local communities would be encouraged to set lower limits on country lanes where pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders would be particularly vulnerable. They would also be encouraged to designate green lanes where these modes would have priority, and where feasible, to close lanes that act as through routes to allow only for these modes plus local access.

TR115 On major roads outside of built up areas, the maximum speed limit allowed would be 55m.p.h., to maximise the efficiency of fuel use as well as improving safety.
