The Hotpoint Way

I had the engineer out yesterday to replace the drum bearings in my 3-year-old washing machine. After fixing it and mentioning that the more recent machines often failed so soon he told me that the latest machines don't have replaceable bearings but need a whole new drum. Eh? I guess I won't be buying any more Hotpoints.

Other manufacturers are going the same way. Zanussi (Electrolux group) sealed tub on their machines.

thank god for that, i hated doing bearing changes, mind you i havent worked there for 10+ years

I hated replacing hotpoint bearigs, Especially when having took the thing appart you realise you left the bearing tool at the last call...
