Thermostat query - Beko A Class F/F (elderly parents)

Happy New Year All!

My elderly parents have a Beko A Class F/F and has stopped working.

The light in the fridge still illuminates.

The weird thing is that there is only one control and that is to control the fridge part.

I cannot see anywhere a control for the freezer section.

I believe the thermostat needs replacing so I have located the part to buy online.

But the other weird thing, is that I cannot see (inside the fridge section) where the the end of the thermostat coil enters and locates, to measure the temperature and therefore control it.

Can anybody advise please.

Had a similar problem and it was the defrost thermostat behind a panel on the freezer ,he checked connections and left it off till it defosted and it was ok when we put it back I use. May be worthwhile trying
