These "adaptors" are unbelievable

I did some searching and it doesn't seem to be clear whether cable assemblies count as "electrical equipment" and hence whether "LV" cable assemblies need to be CE marked. In practice few, if-any of them seem to be.
Fair enough. I had 'assumed' (always dangerous!) that at least the connectors, if not the (LV) cable assemblies as a whole, would need to be marked.
What does seem pretty clear is that ELV cable assemblies do not need CE marking.
I suppose that makes sense, but I wouldn't think that applies to cable assemblies that have at least one end which is designed to be plugged into something which is usually carrying a supply, would it?
