I managed to sneak past security and get into our doctors surgery last week. I tried to make an appointment for blood tests as I'm getting to that age. The receptionist/guard told me I have to do it online, I argued the toss , saying as I was here, she could quite easily book it, so begrudgingly, she did what she is paid for and booked it, but all she booked was a request for a chat with the GP, she said he/she will call me. Got a text a few days later saying GP will call me on Dec 4th, and from there they will decide if and when I have any blood tests. I did tell them my grandad and dad had prostate cancer, my cousin has been diagnosed with it, my brother has high PSA levels, didn't seem to make much difference to the urgency. Maybe I should not wash, grow a beard and roam around the south coast? seems a sure fire way to see a GP.

Or change your name to a Middle Eastern one?

I speak for all of my friends and family. We use it as a direction aid and no one thinks anything of it.

Its not that big a thing, no one around here looks upon it as a special skill. And another clue is the language they speak - its Somalian .

No, genuinely Somalis usually have a strange shaped head, quite unlike other Africans. Not a joke - they are about the only Africans I could say that I can tell where they come from purely by their facial features. It's not a unique observation, I have heard others talk about it. Generally they have very prominent foreheads.

Just because one person hasn't observed something, doesn't mean it's it not actually true.
