Hi,
I'm starting a project sealing up a room that is currently open plan. I need to know how thick the plaster finish will be on the plasterboard so it matches with the other walls. I was thinking about 4-5mm is this too much?
Thanks in advance
David

You rough on your first coat, keep it flat and tight.
The second coat is laid on, and again, kept tight and flat for a plumb and flat finish.
Dont worry about thickness, if it's on the same plane then you just make it work for you to match up to whatever.
If you are talking about return walls, there's nothing to match up to. You merely spread to an inside or outside corner, it will blend in naturally.
