Thin crack in bedroom wooden door panel

Hi, all,

How do I go about fixing this? Caulk? This looks okay, and cheap: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Everbuild-1...F8&qid=1431639687&sr=8-1&keywords=brown+caulk

Personally I'd use car body filler.....cures in 20 mins, dead easy to sand and paint.
Caulks usually remain flexible, and don't like to be sanded!

Thanks. I don't really want to be sanding or painting though. Have quite an aversion to DIY, and was hoping to just make the crack less noticable.

OK, caulk is fine if the crack can be filled in readily .....press the caulk in with your finger, then smooth over with a sponge wash up or similar.
If that's not possible, Polyfilla will set permanently and can be applied in the same way.

Thanks. Sorry to keep on with this, but I really am clueless with DIY. The crack is 1mm at it's longest, is it still worth getting something to try and fill it? Or in this case is it just get a new door?
