Thinking of Changing Boiler

I am surprised they only have a 3 year warranty - other brands seem to have a 5, 7 or 10 year warranty.

There's usually a longer warranty if you have it fitted by an Approved Installer. I remember mine had a 10-year non-corrosion guarantee on the heat exchanger, but as it's stainless steel, you'd expect it to last almost indefinitely. There's not so much inside them to go wrong.

edit, sorry, too slow.

I've had a service and repair contract with a local company that has installed my last two boilers. It includes my other plumbing for £3 a month extra. Over the past 20 years I consider it to have been good value as the longest we have been without heating is for one night and morning. It's a peace of mind thing really if you use a local firm. They actually answer the phone within a minute or so and prioritise their contract customers. Just giving an alternative viewpoint.
