Thinking of starting the beer again..........

Based on my extensive experience. When the words ‘control’ and ‘alcohol’ are used together it means there’s a problem
Mike. Ive never been close to being an alcoholic.
The number for me is 3.
I enjoy 1
2 is nice, but 3 will effect my day or even the next two day.

3 on the odd occasion leads to maybe 5.
5 is very rare for me, but could ruin me up until Thursday.

Im a very active person, I thrive on moving and getting things done. Beer slows me down. The feeling next day slows me down that inturn gets me down.

This is what I mean about control.

I could never drink like these nutters
:) Ive just confided in.

Most of the above including you making Jelly. :ROFLMAO:
I was looking for support, instead I created a frenzy of cocktails .
I think it is commendable that you are looking for support, I myself have been aprox 5 months now cutting right back on my drinking. There is nothing big or clever about drinking to excess. The vodka jellys are a great way to still have a drink but in a food form, you just use vodka instead of water in the jelly. It is an adult jelly more than a kids jelly.

And this is the point of my point.

Im getting more and more irritable recently.
Like giving up smoking. Is give the beer up totally the wrong thing for me to do.

Giving up beer has definitely helped me in so many ways.
Is it the total answer? Thats what Im questioning!

Is there a Ballance? Can I get that Ballance spot on?

Do you think you have got the Ballance right?

No

I gave up smoking at the third attempt over 25 years ago. I could happily have a fag right now but I knew if I did, I’d feel terrible about it and I probably wouldn’t stop at one so I don’t start. I remember how hard it was to give up.

I think giving up drink entirely could be right for some, Paul gascoine for example. For someone who isn't an alcoholic the likes of you and I, a drink in moderation and a social setting is fine.

No

Nail on head . I realise that its only me who can answer this.

I took my daughter to Wetherspoons last night. I ordered an Erdinger Alkoholfrei 0.5%.

She charged me for the alcoholic one that is more expensive. It was she who realised the mistake and corrected the order.

If she hadn't I would have went with it, and regretted it this morning.

I want this to be a conscious decision.

It hasn't been hard for me to give up. Im just questioning myself if its the right thing for me?

As much as I think l had a drink problem, it really would not have been a drink problem for 98.8% or drinkers in the drinking world.
