Hi. I am using Dulux Weathershield Trade. Solvent based. I can usually get a nice finish but this time no matter what I do I'm getting brush marks and dragging. Should I thin it down a little? I am reluctant to as the prime objective is protection.
Someone once told me that Trade products are formulated to let the tradesman adjust the paint to their own requirements. I don't know if that is true...
Any advice much appreciated.

I add a little white spirit and Owatrol to help it flow.

Owatrol isn't cheap but it makes a massive difference (and it goes quite far because you are only using small amounts).

You will find it even more helpful when it comes to using their gloss (especially on warm or very cold days).

I add Owatrol to pretty much all oil based paints. I hate pronounced brush marks.

Thanks very much for the reply. I'm with you on hating brushmarks. Sadly these days I don't use enough solvent based enough to keep Owatrol but I will chuck a little white spirit into it. Thanks again.
