This is no causing the shower head to drip

I’ve got one of these in my bathroom. The bottom control now turns a bit more to the right than it used to, when stopping the water. Despite this, the associated shower head continues to drip.

Is this like a tap where the cartridge can be replaced? Can you please advise how I approach this fix.

Do I just remove the head to get at the cartridge or does the whole silver plate need to be removed?
