On a similar vein, what is the point of long range weather forecasts? Even from reputable sources? Eg. look at the 7 day forecast for my area on the Met Office website. If I were to check what the weather will be for next Tuesday, by the time Tuesday comes around, the weather will be completely different that what they said it would be when I checked today. What's the point of them?
