Does anyone know if the fire front for this back boiler can be capped off, but still allow the back-boiler to operate?
Any advice much app'd.

Not to remove the fire but just to cap it off so it cannot be used. However, I would still want the back boiler to operate.

Spacethegas, thanks for that information. It is really helpful. From what you say I take it that the back boiler would still operate as normal. And if I needed to relight the boiler with the pilot light this would also be fine. Sorry if these are stupid questions only I know nothing about how the flow of gas etc works.

Much appreciate the advice.

Out of interest Why do you want to do this.
There will either be a 3 way gas cock under fire that just needs turning to boiler only or there will be a seperate one to fire that also just turns off(with spanner etc)

I need to do this purely for safety reasons so that the fire can not be lit. But obviously I still want the boiler to work.

TThanks so much for the reply Spacethegas. I understand now, duh!

What safety reasons if you don`t mind me asking , you have not built something around it by any chance.
