Hello,

I have a Thorn emi Housewarmer 2 30/45 back boiler and need to replace one of the asbestos cheeks as it has a crack in it. So far I have found that there are no longer any parts available for this system so I am looking into alternative methods of replacement. Is it possible to buy sheets made out of ??? to self manufacture a replacement? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou!

No you shouldnt do this, I have seen a house where this was tried and the replacement insulation had fallen on to the burner and luckily set off the CO alarm, if the owner hadnt had a CO alarm it could have been a very different outcome
