Thoughts on this quote for central heating system.

To check the price on any job like this you need to get more quotes and then if there are big discrepancies check they are like for like. Ask the guys who have quoted.

The cheapest may end up being the most expensive - because that one could have left a lot of stuff out and leave you with problems after the event.

- around £3k inc VAT is perfectly reasonable for a new boiler and couple of rads. Could be more.
NEVER expect a quote for a replacement boiler without the engineer seeing the job.

Ditto to every thing said by everyone else - TRVs, flushing, lofts etc...

If you are going to compare.com, then do it like for like for ALL items not different people, different brands and different materials

Only way you can compare prices it to get a quote for what you specify. I could be quoting for £1500 boiler while the next guy proposes to fit £350 can of worms. If you are looking for small figure bottom of page, can of worm wins. If you are looking at every one singing for the same hymn sheet, THEN you will be able to look at the bottom of the page and pick with confidence.

EVEN then I would talk to friends and relatives as what moght be on paper might not be what you get.

Good luck
