hi guys,

Sorry for the lack of technical jargon but im a plasterer, not a sparky

I want a three gang switch for my appliances, i think it will be tidier than a bunch of fuse switches

Im just wondering how they are wired up. I currently have a 50mm double box with 10mm cooker cable running in and out for my cooker, but i want to turn that into a three gang switch for the cooker, microwave and fridge which will all be built in.

To do this, can i run my ring main through this 50mm box as i would for a double socket, then run two single wires which will run to the microwave plug and to the fridge if this makes sense? Its in my extension so its all new wiring

Cheers in advance

You cannot. The cooker should have a 45A switch so you cannot fit two more switches in the same place.

You will need to extend/run the ring circuit separately for the microwave and fridge.
