Tia Sharp killer sentenced today

And why do they call it "life imprisonment" when clearly that's only because you took a life, not for the span of the killer's life !!!
 
That would depend on the circumstances.

If you were convicted of murder you'd get a life imprisonment and a tariff. The length of the tariff depends on what you did before and what you did to the child.

This guy has a tariff of 38 years. He's not getting out alive before 38 years are up. In 38 years when he is 75 he has to convince the Parole Board he should be let out.
 
Ok, so little Jamie Bulger isn't getting a school education, or a girlfriend, or a scholarship at EFC or a job at McDonalds, but his killers get..... out, in their 20's??? Surely they should have life in prison... until their death?

The judge in this case said he couldn't be sure there was any sexual stuff going on so couldn't pass a whole life tariff (where life means life). But he still got 38 years.

My chats with a couple of mates on the Parole board gives me the impression they don't like letting this sort out ever. Ever.

Not me. I have always been in favour of capital punishment when there is absolutely no doubt of guilt.

1. It saves a lot of money keeping scum in luxury for many years.

2. It is what they deserve. Also, for the worst offenders, they should place the rope behind their neck instead of at the side.
 
Immediate execution (without any right of appeal), as should those evil muslims in Oxford. I do not see why we should be paying thousands of pounds a week to keep garbage like them in more comfort than many of our pensioners can afford. Once they have been exterminated no meddling Eurocrat or "do-gooder" can demand the Home Secretary release them.

Your emotive response is admirable, but were it your son who picked up the warm gun, and was in the frame !!!

But that said, i'm like you.. Hazell admitted killing Tia, so kill Hazell !! Problem is, knowing he'd die, he wouldn't confess !
 
38 years ain't bad he won't see daylight until he's nearly dead. And he's got all that time to feel sorry for himself about it.
Though I'm in the 'why should we feed that bstrd' camp myself.

More proof if it were needed off a broken and selfish society with no morals and no guiding faith.
At least the little girl is spared growing up in it.

It does seem a very cruel and callous remark, however, my wife has stated the same thing and I don't argue with her.
