Tia Sharp killer sentenced today

yet I have more Christian values than many so-called Christians I have met

I have always been in favour of capital punishment

It's a shame forgiveness is not one of them. You want blood, retribution and revenge. You want people killed and hurt because your own twisted logic of atheism teaches you no different.

Still no one can explain what killing a murderer acheives apart from satisfying their own lust for revenge.

It's the cheapest, easiest way to make sure they don't kill anyone else.
So how about you explaining what's wrong with good old fashioned revenge. I love a bit of revenge me.

It would be pointless explaining it to someone with the brain of a dinosaur.

You don't actually know what's wrong with revenge do you?
Just that you've been told it's wrong by, as johnd said, a man in a frock.

Wrong and its well documented as too why.

Yes, well when we get out of the european union, and stop pandering to do gooders of our own we'll be able to say. One conviction, upheld after one maybe two appeals and your toast.
That will bring the cost down, besides there are plenty of willing would be 'executioners' who'd do the job for free.
It only takes one bullet and they're cheap.

Well take the case of the football hooligans who crushed 96 people at Hillsborough. The families now want revenge against the authorities and yet want no revenge against the true perpertrators.
Thats one reason why revenge is so wrong as it clouds coherrent judgement.

Panorama are doing a programme on that particular cover up on monday.
Still. I suppose it won't matter to a t*t like you whatever they may uncover, you will still blame the fans. But that's ok, once a t*t always a t*t.

I blame both the fans and the authorities.
Two sides to every story. Though I expect panarama will concentrate on one.

Norcon, what would you do with malaria ridden mosquitos? kill them, or lock them up? in a prison for about a 3rd of their remaining life?

Perhaps you think my two statements are contradictory. I disagree. Yes, I want retribution and revenge (for your information, hanging would not normally let blood).

Name-calling again! If you want to call me 'twisted', go ahead. It's what people do when they feel they have lost an argument.

I take it, then, that if I saw the light and became a born again Christian I would forgive all murderers (and, presumably, all criminals) and welcome them back into civilised society with open arms...

...to kill again.

Can you explain what supernatural forces are contained within the ten commandments?

Does athesim have such fine rules? Nope.
Do you even have a house of worship and a Sunday school to teach the kids. Nope again. A pagan following no less.

Since the pre-Socratics, atheists like yourself have been intellectual parasites living off the host of Western Civilization

If you claim to follow some of the ten commandments (I doubt that you follow all of them, and I do not for a moment believe that you follow more than a few cherry-picked segments of the rest of the jewish laws), you should remember that they were instructions written by some men, who died a long time ago, doing their best to describe basic rules for civilised behaviour. They were not created by magic or some supernatural power.

Do you really believe they were created by a supernatural power?

Which of them do you try to follow?

Do you seriously believe that a person who does not adhere to your particular variety of a religion considers himself free to murder and steal, or to abandon his family? Do you allege that I, as an atheist, do that?

God is not supernatural. God is real and yes I follow and obey all the commandments.
