Tightening bolt for taps

The taps on my kitchen sink have become very loose at the base and clearly some attachment underneath needs tightening. I can't actually get my head in far enough to see it, but I can take a photo and here it is:


I think it must be the long extending bolt that needs tightening. I can tighten it a bit with my fingers but it's not enough. So is there a tool that I should buy in order to tighten this? Access is really difficult.

There is a box spanner specially available to tighten that nut, but if you have a socket set then that would work too.

Thanks, that worked fine with the screwfix set. Fiddly though.
