Tightening hollow wall fixings

How much do you tighten hollow wall fixings? The metal ones that you can set with a tool (but I just do up the bolt).

I'm a bit conscious that I could overtighten and probably trash the plasterboard but is that right? I tend to hand tighten with a screwdriver rather than risk gunning them in with the impact (which would be quicker /stronger).

I too would use a screwdriver to do the final tighten on these.

I always use impact driver at low speed , never a problem.
