Tile Adhesive

I'm using Unibond "Advanced All Purpose Wall Tile Adhesive and Grout" to put up tiles on my bathroom wall. These are actually floor tiles, but I didn't think this would be a problem. The original tiles (1950s) were cemented on, but fortunately came away easily enough for me to leave the original cement in place. This is what I'm tiling onto. Anyway, after 2 days, the adhesive still doesn't appear to have set properly. Will it ever? Have I done something wrong? Too much adhesive? Fact that bathroom is cold? Tiles too big? Too thick? Or am I worrying for nothing? Any opinions welcomed!

I am not a tileing person but i found

it does say to use unibond on cement first

or it may be

The room is too damp / cold

the mix may be too wet

on the other hand wait and see.
