hi everyone,newbie here
being a female im not very clued up on diy, lol,
ive just took the tiles of my walls in bathroom, floor to sealing, and all the plaster came of,leaving what my dad told me is sand and cement mix on the wall,
now i need to get this re plastered so i can retile it,but im unsure whats the correct way,ive had some plasters round, but getting told different ways to do,so im hoping the pro's on here can help me,as i dont know who to trust and whos telling me a correct way to do it,
some are saying they will use hardwall first ontop of the sand/cement mix, then plaster on top, others are saying they will just use plaster on top of the sand/cement mix
it seems there is alot of people going on these one week courses and im worried i may get one of these, not to say they have not learnt properly, but i would rather hear from someone with more experience, and someone on here wont fill me with a cock and bull story cos they are not after my money, just want to help a lady in distress
sorry if ive gone on a bit
thanks
